Ohio has a long and thoroughly researched and recorded history in the evolution of underground music. From the earliest stages of rock ‘n’ roll, punk, and metal, through today’s modern rock and metal scenes, in every decade Ohio has consistently produced visionary artists who have influenced the direction and timbre of the sound that was going down.

And we’re still doing it.

This compilation is an attempt to bring to you, wherever you are, a taste of what we’re laying down on a daily basis throughout the state of Ohio. Some of these bands have been cranking out the heavy for decades and some of them are pretty new. Regardless, every one of them is working hard every day to keep the tradition of heavy music in Ohio alive and well by playing regular shows and putting out new material.

It is my hope that you will find a new favorite band in this compilation. Most of us have a Bandcamp page where you can more fully explore our individual sound. If you’re in a band yourself and looking for someone to play with, or if you’re putting your tour together, come through Ohio! We’ll get heavy with you.

This album is an absolute banger. The riffs are especially groovy this time, the vocals are amazing, and the overall thing is supercatchy. If I'd have to list one downside, it's that the mix is so bass-heavy that the sound only truely comes into it's right when listened on good headphones or extremely good speakers. On anything less it can sound like the bass drowns the rest of the music out. 9/10 Buzzario
