Rob Hammer So the band that got me into instrumental doom is not featured (Space Witch) cause they used vocals on their 2nd album. Neither is my absolute fav instrumental track (by Coat). My point; these are all FULLY instrumental bands... imo the album just had to start with Monoliths; the one album that they did thus far is sooo heavy & hypnotic! I'm also very pleased I got my fav spacerock band , Yuri Gagarin, to contribute... I could go on and on, I hope you'll enjoy this as much as I do :D

INTRODUCTION

For years I've been seeing posts in social media groups with people asking for instrumental doom metal and stoner rock. I actually kept a list on my phone of the best albums & bands I had come across through the years, so when the opportunity presented itself to do another Doomed & Stoned compilation I jumped on it.

About a year ago I had fun doing 'Doomed & Stoned in the Netherlands (Vol 2)' (2020), but this one was a bit more challenging. When Billy Goate and I combined our list of fully instrumental bands, we already had close to 100 without ever doing a post asking for submissions. Long story short; we decided to split it into multiple volumes that will be appearing between now and the end of summer, and I can only say that the quality is amazing!

Now the one presented here is a bit of a "Rob Hammer's personal favs" playlist. Those who are familiar with my YouTube channel or my Facebook group (linked below) know that I have a preference for doom metal (I do some stuff for my favourite band Conan as well) but the other genres are also present. There's no let down -- all tracks are great!
