Formed by the misplaced jams and riffs of the greats like Sabbath, Zeppelin, and Rush, The Judge comes at you like you’d expect; a wall of giant, psychedelic sound. The ever changing and onward transformation keeps the band lively and up for trying new things, live and in studio.

The birth of The Judge is 2010 in Granite City, IL by founding members Dylan Jarrett (guitarist) and Evan Anderson (drummer). While the two remained a 2-piece for quite some time, this helped to form an undeniable chemistry that can be seen while playing live. However, after a length of time, bassist Kevin Jones joined the band, and the group went on for three years as a 3-piece, playing in various venues around St Louis. It wasn’t until late 2013 that Tyler Swope (vocals) joined the band and provided a range and vibrato that hadn’t been heard in years. Together, these four men create The Judge. The group combines elements of blues, psychedelic, jazz, soul, and any kind of heavy rock you can come up with to create a pseudo-vintage sound. Just as Zeppelin called upon their blues background to form their unique and distinct sound, The Judge calls upon those that made the 70’s great to form their unique sound.
